About Us

Lexington Elementary is pleased to announce that it has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2022–2025 for its use of technology to enhance instruction for all grade levels. Apple Distinguished Schools are centers of innovation, leadership, and educational excellence. They use Apple technology to inspire creativity, collaboration and critical thinking in learning, teaching and the school environment, and have documented results of academic accomplishment.

Preparing our students for the ever-expanding Information Age is paramount. The selection of Lexington Elementary as an Apple Distinguished School highlights our success as an innovator and a compelling learning environment that engages students, and provides tangible evidence of academic achievement. Our students use Apple technology to bring reports alive, research the world with visual and audio enhancements, and support all areas of the curriculum. Through these experiences, we are preparing our students for future success in whichever path they choose.

Lexington Elementary is a school both steeped in history with an eye on the future. A school has been on site since 1886, and the proud community embraces its Patriotic heritage. Lexington was the recipient of a Blue Ribbon for academic excellence in 2016. This recognition came on the heels of the introduction of Apple technology in the classrooms, connecting our rural school to the world. We are proud of who we are and where we have been, and we are excited about the future of this strong community.
